Here is a good and super-easy opportunity for IBS advocacy: You may recall back in December of '09 when Senator John McCain unfairly targeted IBS research ("Shame on McCain"). The Gastroparesis Patient Association for Cures and Treatment (G-PACT) has put together a petition that the organization plans to present to Senator McCain on March 8, 2010 regarding funding for gastric mobility disorders. In less time than it takes to tie your shoes, you can add your voice and help to advocate for continued funding into sorely needed funding for GI disorders like IBS.
