Fermented Foods for IBS

By January 13, 2014

Follow me on:

As more and more research sheds a light on the role that gut bacteria play in terms of our digestive and overall health, I am starting to become a proponent of a class of traditional foods known as fermented foods. To me, they seem ideal for IBS. Fermented foods are filled with natural strains of probiotics, which may help to encourage a healthier balance of your gut bacteria. Also, because they are already fermented, you get the health benefits of the food without having to worry about the food causing fermentation (gas and bloating!) within your gut. You can learn more about the benefits and types of fermented foods through my newest article:
