All submissions to the About.com Health Channel Blog Carnivals are beholden to the following rules:

1. Blog posts must be written with the intent of providing fair, accurate and credible health information. Blogs containing factual errors, unverifiable information, and/or rumors will not be accepted.

2. The blog post must contain an original discussion of the carnival theme. Links to prior content are acceptable, but the submitted post must be unique and offer stand-alone content.

3. Submitted blog posts must include a link to the host's invitation post.

4. Carnival submissions should be published and the link sent to the carnival host in the time period between the host invitation and the 25th of the month.

5. Posts should not be of commercial nature and will not be accepted if the post includes a pitch to sell a product or service.

6. Posts can only be submitted by the original author of the post.

7. The carnival host has final say in deciding if a submitted post is appropriate for the carnival.

8. Once the completed blog carnival is published, its link should be added to the end of each participant submission.
