About Me and Why I Blog

I find that a large cause of my episodes is stress, so blogging helps me vent so that it doesn't boil up inside me. I also love to get in touch with other people with IBS. It can be a very isolating disease, so hearing that other people are going through the same thing I am makes me feel better...not that they're sick too, but well...you know ;)

What I Write About in My Blog

This blog is mostly about specific things I deal with day-to-day living with IBS. I don't feel like a lot of people who follow my other, more general blog are ready for some of the things I want to write about that deal with my IBS, so this blog is separate. I do sometimes write about life in general.

Tips and Tricks

  • Eating small meals- especially when you're not sure if the food is a trigger food or not.
  • Exercise...whatever you can do, do it. I've recently started lifting weights while I study & I haven't had an attack in probably a week or so!
  • Get in touch and keep in touch with as many people with IBS as you can. People in your life will try to understand what you're going through, but there's really no way they can.
